Timi Dakolo speaks on losing dad

Singer Timi Dakolo has reacted to rumour which says he’s currently bereaved because he lost his father.

The rumour was sparked after he shared a post that many mistook to mean a farewell message to his father.

Timi Dakolo had written: “Goodbye sir, thank you for all the memories.
Thank you for the music you played for Us while growing up, The reading listens, The Christmas clothes, the flogging, The go and face the wall, The one new word every day, The go and bring your books, the evening lessons, The show me your fingernails and your teeth and many more. Thank you for teaching me the importance of repetition.Thank you, sir. We would miss you”.

He has now clarified his post which led to the rumour that he lost his father.

He wrote: “You people should try and leave me alone.. my father is alive and doing well. I wonder how you people come up with all this information. I didn’t say anything about my father being dead.A simple investigation would do the world much good”.

His fellow celebrities joined in condemning all those peddling the rumour.

Singer Phillips World wrote: “Whoever did this should be sued. This isn’t something to joke about. If you sue now they will say you’re being “extra” .. nonsense”.

DJ BigN: “It takes a vey “sad person to publish such”…. somebody reach out to the journalist…. he/she needs a hug”

Omowunmi Akinnifesi shared: “They hunger and feed on you like mosquitoes…. sucking blood and sewing seeds of death. All for journalism”
