In the spirit of Valentine Weekend, Ella Chioma of Kemi Filani News hit the cinema to have a total experience of the much talked about movie, Dear Affy.
The movie Dear Affy, directed by Samuel Olatunji (AKA Bigsam), is a movie full of Nollywood icons.
It parades Nollywood seasoned actors in the likes of Jide Kosoko, Bimbo Akintola, Faithia Williams, Kehinde Bankole, Enyinnaya Nwigwe, Bimbo Ademoye, Timini Egbuson, Williams Uchemba, Odunlade Adekola and Chinedu Ikedieze.
Some others are Toyin Abraham and her Husband, Kolade Ajeyemi, Ali Nuhu, Uzee Usman, even Teni The Entertainer showed how much acting she got in her.
These stars not only added spice and thickness to the movie but would fuel your temptation to go see the movie all over.
Dear Affy held viewers spell bound, curious and in a guessing swing throughout its 110 minutes of play.
Kehinde Bankole plays the role of Affy. She calls off her wedding with her fiancé when she sees a message on his phone that brings back his ugly past to hunt them both.
Influenced by her two best friends to forget the incidence by clubbing and partying hard, the unimaginable happened and she became pregnant for another man – not her fiancé.
Affy’s determination to go haunting for the father of her baby got her into a more complicated situation.
However, she didn’t let that tear her apart, she gathered the broken pieces of her life, stood strong and moved on.
We definitely loved every part of the movie; combination of comedy and suspense.
Aside entertaining the viewers, Dear Affy also teaches an important lesson of communication in relationships, dare not jump into hasty conclusions, alcohol is not the best way and of course forgiving heart is a winning heart.
Valentine Weekend is over! As a young, single lady or gentleman, do find time to see Dear Affy.
