Instagram big boy and suspected internet fraudster, Mompha is set to resume the Federal High Court in Lagos on January 15, 2020 following his case of money laundering which is far from being over
The Federal High Court in Lagos will on January 15 resume the trial of social media celebrity, Ismaila Mustapha, popularly known as Mompha, over alleged N33 billion fraud.
Mompha was arrested on October 19, 2019, at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, arraigned on November 25 on 14 counts bordering on fraud, money laundering and running a foreign exchange business without the authorisation of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and granted bail of N100 million on November 29, 2019.
Justice Mohammed Liman who granted him bail had earlier adjourned proceedings until January 8, 2020.
It may be recalled that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) alleged had that Mompha is entangled in a N33 billion Naira.
It was learnt that the Instagram big boy was arraigned alongside his company, Ismalob Global Investment Limited because Mompha had procured the company and retained in its bank account an aggregate of N33 billion between 2015 and 2018.
It appears the billionaire Instagram big boy cannot but wait for the pending case to be over as he recently resumed flaunting his wealth on the gram again
