A Federal High Court in Abuja has thrown out a suit which seeks to sack deputy senate president, Ovie Omo-Agege, for alleged conviction in the US.
According to the presiding judge, Justice Othman Musa, the Court’s time was wasted by the plaintiff because Omo-Agege was never convicted nor had any criminal charge against him.
The plaintiff was ordered to pay the Sim of N1million to Omo-Agege for damages.
Justice Musa added that the conviction which can stop a political from holding a post for ten years made by a Nigerian court.
