After so many negative reactions, the University of Nigeria has finally withdrawn the approval for the use of its Energy Centre for the academic conference on witchcraft scheduled to hold next week.
The director of the centre notified the conference organisers of the development, amidst opposition by Christian students and the Christian Association of Nigeria against the conference.
The conference is the brainchild of the B.I.C Ijomah Centre for Policy and Research. It is a pure academic exercise, not a real meeting of witches and wizards, the centre said, shocked by the uninformed reaction of Christian students and CAN.
It would be recalled that Bishop Sam Zuga had predicted that as long as he is alive that the Witchcraft conference would not hold.
