Rivers Guber: Supreme Court upholds Wike’s election

The Supreme Court has upheld the election of Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike.

This is following two appeals filed by Wike against a Court of Appeal ruling against his election.

The appeal court ruled in favour of the 2019 gubernatorial candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Awara Biokpomabo Festus.

However, a seven-man panel in the apex court found the two appeals by Wike to be meritorious.

This informed the ruling delivered by Justice Ejembi Eko which reversed the decision by the Rivers State Governorship Election Tribunal.
