How #SexForGrade scandal overshadowed Mercy’s BBNaija glory

The BBC sex for grade documentary overshadowed the glory of the 2019 BBNaija winner, Mercy, in terms of stealing the attention of Nigerians.

Mercy emerged the 2019 BBNaija winner on October 6, becoming the first female to win the reality TV show.

She was given N60million as prize money and other prizes which include an SUV.

This made many fans of the show go gaga on social media thereby making her a trend.

However, her trend on social media was rivalled a few hours after she was announced winner.

The rivalry came from a BBC documentary tagged Sex For Grades which exposed some lecturers for sexual harassment.

Immediately, the documentary hit the internet, many people forgot about Mercy’s victory. Their attention was stolen by the documentary which has been trending for days now.

This is unlike previous editions of BBNaija reality TV show which saw the winners trend for more than a week.
