Shoprite have issued a statement in regards to the xenophobic attacks going on in South Africa which mostly affects Nigerians.
In the statement, the retailer condemned the attacks and advised Nigerians and South Africans to protect foreigners living among them.

Meanwhile, the South African High Commissioner to Nigeria, Bobby Moroe, was summoned yesterday by Nigeria’s minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, over xenophobic attacks in his country.
The duo held a meeting on Tuesday as confirmed via a Whatsapp statement by a senior official in the ministry, Kimiebi Ebenfa.
The outcome sees Monroe denying the xenophobic attacks going on in his country.
