Kenneth Ganiu Ninalowo, a 40-year old Nigerian man believed to be brother to actor Bolanle Ninalowo, has been arrested by the FBI in the US over $1.5 million money laundering charges.
According to FBI, the money from the scam is coming from targets in an unnamed Chicago-area community college and an energy company.
Ninalowo and his partner, 27-year-old Brittney Stokes are said to have received the sum of $5million into accounts which they controlled.
The charges against the duo is part of a larger operation which saw the arrest of 280 individuals, including 167 in Nigeria, 18 in Turkey and 15 in Ghana.
Kenneth Ninalowo is the second child of eight children which Bolanle Ninalowo is also part of.
Actor Bolanle Ninalowo’s online profile states that he spent some part of his life growing in Chicago which is were Kenneth got arrested.
His profile reads:
‘Bolanle was bred in Lagos before traveling to Chicago in the USA when he was only 15 years old. After getting to the US, he spent another 15 years studying and graduating from Devry University with a BSc in Accounting. He didn’t end his education there, he furthered at Keller Graduate School of Management in Chicago where he got a Masters in Marketing’.
