About 14 passengers have been kidnapped in Osun State by criminal elements suspected be Fulani herdsmen.
The passengers were kidnapped along Ajeoku junction, along Otan-ile-Okemesi road in Obokun Local Government of the State.
An eyewitness, Chief Saka Adelu stated that the kidnappers pretended to be passengers and boarded a bus from Osogbo, the State capital.
Around 5pm on Sunday, the criminals struck on getting to the Ajeoku Junction.
He stated that a report was filed by those who were left behind after 14 passengers had been taken away.
The incident was confirmed by a top member of the Oodua People’s Congress who revealed that police have swung into action in search of the abducted passengers.
“It is true, some of the passengers who were left behind reported the case to our people at Otan-ile, they said the criminals were in the bus with them from Osogbo, before they eventually struck.
“We are presently trailing them and we are going to definitely get them”.
