Manchester United have opened talks with Christian Eriksen over a summer move from Tottenham Hotspur, The Independent reports.
The London club would now want to sell the 27-year-old in this window so as to acquire longer-term reinforcements, for example, Bruno Fernandes and Paulo Dybala.
Eriksen’s contract with Spurs ends one year from now and he wouldn’t like to sign another contract.
He at first just needed to go to Real Madrid, yet they have cooled their enthusiasm, leaving United as the main genuine bidders.
Spurs will wait for upwards of £50million for Eriksen.
United are sure of getting it over the line, before the transfer window shuts down at 5pm on Thursday.
