Former Super Eagles captain, Kanu Nwankwo has wished Alex Iwobi well has he embarks on a new journey after signing with Everton from Arsenal yesterday
The deal was part of the numerous deals which took place on transfer deadline day which was yesterday.
A sum of £40million is said to have been paid by Everton for the services of the Nigerian winger.
Reacting to the exit from Arsenal, Kanu who also played for the London side wished the youngster well and believes he remains a Gunner no matter what other club he goes to.
He shared:
“Once a Gunner, Always a Gunner. We are proud of you @alexanderiwobi and will continue to support you. Good luck with your new club.
Speaking to Arsenal website, manager Unai Emery said:
“Alex has made a big contribution at Arsenal.
“He worked hard in the academy, where he was an example to many young players and has been an important part of our squad.
“We wish Alex every success in the future”.
