Few hours ago, Ike Ekweremadu, the immediate past Deputy Senate president, was humiliated by members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) at a function in Nuremberg, Germany today Saturday August 17th.
During the attack, the IPOB members were seen throwing stones at Ekweremadu, which prompted his fellow politicians to immediately whisk him away from the venue.
The IPOB members have also explained why they attacked the ex Senate president.
In a video shared by Radio Biafra, the aggrieved Biafrans say they are against their leaders celebrating New Yam festival in Germany when their indigenes back home are being killed, raped and attacked by Fulani herdsmen.
”They are killing your people and you are here celebrating yam festival. They are killing your people, raping your women, Fulani, and you are here you want to celebrate Yam. God will punish all of you,” one of the aggrieved Biafrans said.
Ekweremadu who served as Deputy Senate President from 2007 to 2019, was re-elected for the fifth consecutive time as the Senator representing Enugu West senatorial district in the 2019 elections.
