The Recording Academy which organises the prestigious Grammy Awards have stated that Nigerian singer Burna Boy is steadily ascending as a globally-loved superstar.
This was made known via a tweet shared by the music body which reads:
“@burnaboy is steadily ascending as a globally-loved superstar, with his smooth, rich vocals and infectious beats that blend traditional Afrobeat, dancehall, hip-hop, trap, and more”.
This is coming just weeks after Burna Boy released his new album African Giant which is rated as the highest-paid album in the UK.
African Giant debuted 16 on the UK chart and 104 on the top 200 Billboard thereby earning it a global recognition.
The 19-track album features British singer, Jorja Smith; African legend, Angelique Kidjo, and Damian Marley, son of Jamaican icon, Bob Marley.
