Corpers speak on receiving NYSC ‘Allawee’ Increment

Members of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) are unhappy with the Federal Government (FG) for failing to commence the implementation of their allowance increment.

In May, Zainab Ahmed, the Minister of Finance revealed that the government is working out modalities of the new national minimum wage, which will also see corps members receiving the minimum wage, at least.

However, since that time, the payment has not been effected, and checks by this online news medium showed that corps members are disgruntled.

Although, the scheme did state through Shuaibu Ibrahim, its Director-General (DG) that it will communicate when the payment of the N30,000 new allowance would take off to corps members, the youth are curious.
