Senator Elisha Abbo who was detained for assaulting nursing mother has swiftly been granted bail after spending the night in police custody.
On Thursday, he surrendered himself to the Police Command of the Federal Capital Territory for questioning over the assault on a nursing mother.
The FCT police commissioner, Bala Ciroma, revealed to newsmen that Abbo was released in the afternoon of Friday after meeting conditions for his bail.
But, Mr Ciroma did not say anything on the bail conditions which the senator is set to have met.
The embattled legislator, Mr Abbo had apologised and almost burst into tears after apologising to the woman on Wednesday during a press briefing organised by himself to address matters over the video which showed him assaulting her.
Right now, it is obviously not clear if the senator would be charged to court afterwards.
