The proprietor of a Yahoo Yahoo training school, Chinedu Frank, has been remanded yesterday on the orders of an Ikeja special offfences court.
Chinedu is alleged to have been involved in a $20,000 fraud and his standing trial before justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo.
He’s charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, of obtaining g money on false pretense and possessing fraudulent documents.
Samuel Deji, the EFCC prosecuting counsel called on the court to set a trial date as the suspect pleaded not guilty. The request was granted and the case was adjourned till September 17.
Feanknis said to have committed the offence in May 2018. The EFCC accused Jim of fraudulently collecting $20,000 from Han-Yong Ja while pretending to be AUSS military officer stationed in Iraq.
He also once presented himself as a US Major General Davis Lucas.
Some of the fraudulent documents found with him include: “3rd Billing Flight; Certificate of Retirement” and ‘Replacement Format”.
He was busted alongside eight of his students at the Yahoo Yahoo training school located at 14, Animashaun Street, Progressive Estate, Ojodu Berger, Lagos.
