Filmmaker, Emem Isong who lost her father in May 2019, has finally put him to rest with a befitting burial.
The bereaved movie maker had taken to social media to share a tribute to her father, expressing the pain she feels and how the loss has changed her life.
Despite her grief and pain, she still believes her father is in a better place.
She had written, “One is never prepared for the death of a parent. Even when they’re ill, no matter how one has braced up for the eventuality of their passing, the grief still hits hard. And so I am left grieving, with the weight of this loss resting on my already broken heart. But in all things, we will continue to thank God for a life well spent and fulfilled. You have ran your race, Jesus has taken you back home to rest. In the end, God’s will always prevails. Adieu Papa, we will definitely meet again on the resurrection day.😢😢”
Meanwhile the burial which is presently going on at her home town in Cross River State was graced by Nollywood icons in the likes of Mary Remmy, The CEO of ROK TV, Uche Jombo, Monalisa Chinda, comedian Funnybone, Bishop Okon and more.
Appreciating their support and condolences visit, Emem Isong said: ‘Thank you so much to all my friends and colleagues who supported us with their presence, their love,their gifts and above all their prayers as we laid our father to rest.
