Nigerian expert footballer Odion Ighalo has apologized to Nigerians after the Super Eagles loss to Algeria yesterday.
Odion Ighalo said the match was an extremely troublesome game as they put forth a strong effort yet it wasn’t sufficient as they would like to win their next game against Tunisia for third spot.
He stated: “Nigerians we are sorry. It was a difficult game and we were unlucky at the last minute. Second half, we really played well and we deserve more than what we got. We have to learn from our mistakes and we look forward to the third place game.
The Super Eagles on Sunday night lost an enormous chance to win a fourth AFCON title in a 2-1 semi-last destruction to Desert Warriors of Algeria following a very late free kick objective by Riyad Mahrez.
