Super Eagles now first team to qualify for AFCON Round of 16

Nigerian Football team, Super Eagles, today, beat their opponent, Guinea, 1-0, courtesy of Kenneth Omeruo’s 73rd minute header, to remain at the top of the Group, with six points from two matches.

This grand victory makes the Nigerian side the first team to qualify for the knockout stages of the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2019 in Egypt.

This year’s competition, known as the Total 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, makes it the 32nd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations.

AFCON is a biennial international men’s football championship of Africa organized by the Confederation of African Football.
