Barcelona have received a huge boost towards signing their former player Neymar after the Paris St Germain star agreed to chop his wages in half.
Report says the Brazilian agreed to chop his wages in half so as to secure a move back to Camp Nou.
His current wages thought to be around £550,000 per week will be chopped in half and also he will drop his lawsuit against Barcelona over unpaid loyalty bonus.
Neymar left Barcelona in the summer of 2017 and became the most expensive footballer when he joined PSG in a record £198m.
However, the Brazilian has not been able to call Paris home since his move. He was quoted recently saying he wants to go back home where he never should have left.
PSG president, Al-Khelaifi reacted:
“I want players willing to give everything to defend the honour of the jersey and to join the club project,” he told France Football.
“Those who do not want that, or do not understand, we will meet and we will talk to each other.
“Nobody forced him to sign here, nobody pushed him.
“He came knowingly to join a project.”
