Governor Abdullahi Ganduje donates N3million to Zainab Aliyu

Kano State governor, Abdullahi Ganduje has don’t the sum of N3 million as gift to Zainab Aliyu and Ibrahim Abubakar, who recently got released from Saudi Arabia prison.

This was after a Federal Government led delegation officially presented Zainab Aliyu and Ibrahim Abubakar to the governor in Kano.

Concerning Aliyu, Ganduje said she “traveled for Lesser Hajj with her mother was arrested by Saudi Security Officials in December 2018, in a hotel in Madinah”.

The girl was accused of possessing a bag containing illicit drugs purportedly bearing a tag with her name. Ibrahim Abubakar, unrelated to Aliyu, was also arrested on the sane day after he traveled on the same aircraft.

Ganduje went on to commended President Muhammadu Buhari for the timely intervention to save the lives of the two victims, as he urged security agencies in Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, to redouble their efforts in curbing such crimes.
