EFCC Arrests Another Nigerian Singer Zlatan Ibile

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has just arrested another popular Nigerian singer Omoniyi Temidayo, popularly known as Zlatan Ibile.

He was arrested after another singer Afeez Fashola, better known as Naira Marley was locked up earlier in the day.

According to the EFCC, Zlatan Ibile‘s arrest is in connection with Marley’s statements on social media which glorifies internet fraudsters, known in Nigeria as ‘Yahoo Boys.’

The Economic and Financial Crimes Comission, EFCC, arrested popular musicians Naira Marley & Zlatan Ibile to profile them in order to establish their affiliations with internet fraudsters popularly called ‘yahoo boys’.

A top source at the EFCC who spoke to SaharaReporters said, the graft agency has seized their laptops and phones to conduct forensics to determine their link to cybercrime.

The source also revealed that the two artistes are also under the agency’s investigation for songs and comments glorifying cybercrime; most recently “Am I A Yahoo Boy?” released on Thursday.
