Juventus fans were found with knives after they were arrested in Amsterdam for creating an ugly scene before the UEFA Champions League round of eight game between their club and Ajax.
Before the game, there were clashes between fans and riot police on the streets with the fans wielding knives, screwdrivers and sticks.
Matteo Salvini – Italy’s deputy prime minister – said: ‘Around 120 arrests [were made]’
‘People were found carrying objects that were not exactly appropriate for a trip to the stadium,’ he continued.
The game ended 1-1 with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring the opener after returning from injury.
