Candidates who were unable to sit for their UTME due to biometric verification issues may be rescheduled to write the examination at the headquarters of the Joint Admission and Matriculations Board, JAMB, in Bwari Area of Abuja.
This was disclosed to journalists by sources at the CBT centres in Abuja who said that JAMB gave forms to such candidates to fill so their examination can be rescheduled.
At least five centres visited by pressmen experienced the biometric issue. One candidate couldn’t not be verified by ause of excess sweat on his palms.
At Dominion International School Jabi, forms were given to about nine candidates with biometric verification challenges. The forms would be forwarded to the JAMB headquarters.
Officials in one of the centres caught a candidate cheating; he was exposed by the surveillance cameras installed in the hall. He was immediately given a malpractice form to fill.
