A youth corps member serving as an INEC ad-hoc staff in Mushin, Lagos state, was beaten up on Saturday morning while he and his colleagues demanded additional allowance, as they had been alerted that they were being cheated into collecting N5,000 instead of the N20,000 that were being paid to other ad-hoc staff.
In a series of photos and videos posted on Twitter, the corp member identified as Ikuomola Akerele was seen struggling with a crowd while his uniform dripped of blood.

It was actually because of a certain amount of money… It was rumored that other local government were paying #corpers and other #adhoc members 20k,but here were given 5k… And he and other #corpers were fighting for us…
