The battle with Cancer has seen victors and victims world round, and as it is the month of February, we would do well to celebrate the survivors while remembering those we have lost.
World Cancer day which was celebrated on Monday, January 4, 2019, brings to mind some celebrities we have lost to Cancer.
Here are five celebrities who lost their battles with Cancer.
Aisha Abimbola
News of Aishat Abimbola aka Omoge Campus’ death in 2018 was a big blow to the Nigerian Movie industry.
The Nollywood actress passed away on May 15 in Canada after a brief battle with breast Cancer.
She was 47-years-old at the time of her death.
Yinka Craig
Uncle Yinka as Yinka Craig was fondly known, died on September 23, 2008 after being diagnosed of non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.
The popular broadcaster had a protracted battle with the disease while being treated at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, United State.
Remi Osholake
Popularly known as Remi, the ace fashion designer died on a November 3, 2012 after battling Uterune Cancer.
Remi had been receiving threatment at the Harley Street Clinic in London when he died at the age of 51.
Sonny Okosun
Sonny Okosun died at the age of 61 from colon Cancer.
The musician had been admitted at the Howard University in Washington DC, United States, when he passed away on May 24, 2008.
Taiwo Bello
Nollywood filmmaker and co-writer of Funke Akindele’s Jenifa’s Diary, Taiwo Bello, passed away on April 13, 2012.
Taiwo was reportedly bedridden from the disease before finally losing his battle with Cancer.
