Coming to America sequel set for release in August 2020

The highly anticipated sequel to 1988 “Coming to America” has been scheduled for release in August 2020.

Star actor of the movie, Eddie Murphy, confirmed the release in a statement released on a Tuesday, February 12, 2019.

He revealed that he would be returning to his role as ‘Prince Akeem’ although we are unsure of the return of the likes of James Earl Jones, Shari Headley, John Amos and Arsenio Hall, to their roles.

Speaking of Brewer’s appointment, Murphy said: “After many years of anticipation, I’m thrilled that Coming To America 2 is officially moving forward.

“We’ve assembled a great team that will be led by Craig Brewer, who just did an amazing job on Dolemite [Is My Name], and I’m looking forward to bringing all these classic and beloved characters back to the big screen.”

Eddie Murphy fans must be thrilled by the news which has remained speculation for a very long time.
