Former Chelsea player, Mikel Obi has completed his move to Middlesborough from Chinese Super League side Tianjin Teda where he spent the last two years.
Mikel had his medicals done with the club on Monday after agreeing personal terms.
According to The Nation, the 31-year-old Super Eagles captain will be unveiled on Wednesday and has been given the number 12 shirt.
Mikel will be seeing to help Tony Pulis side who are on their way to ensure that Premier League football returns back to the Riverside next season.
Middlesbrough is seven points off leaders Leeds as they sit fifth in the Championship table.
