Lady Gaga is being accused of holding on to her R Kelly Collaboration even after announcing that she would be dropping it from all streaming services over the R&B singer’s sexual assault allegations.
You would recall that the singer and actress announced last week Wednesday, January 9, 2019, that she would ‘remove’ her 2013 track ‘Do What U Want ‘(With My Body) with R.Kelly from streaming services.
She wrote, ‘I intend to remove this song off of iTunes and other streaming platforms.”
However, it has been discovered that as of Wednesday, January 16, 2019, one week after her announcement, the song is still available for sale on the Google Play service.
In light of these accusations, TMZ reports that Universal music ‘is working on taking this down now’.
Lady Gaga leads a growing list of singers who have decided to pull down their collaborations with the embattled singer over the series of sexual abuse allegations leveled against him.
We also reported that his label RCA/Sony has revealed that it will no longer put any money into his projects or release new material until the criminal investigations are done.
The Chicago born singer is currently facing allegations from several women over different forms of abuse as discussed in the docu-series “Surviving R Kelly” which aired on cable channel Lifetime.
