Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah has been named the PFA Player of the Month for December.
The Egypt international scored six goals – including a hat-trick at Bournemouth – last month to help the Reds pull clear atop the English Premier League standings, a lead that has since been cut to four points following defeat to Manchester City.
Salah pipped Eden Hazard, Harry Kane, Ricardo Pereira, Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford to the prize by virtue of a fan poll.
The 26-year-old is the third Reds player to receive the monthly accolade this season, following in the steps of Sadio Mane (August) and Virgil van Dijk (November).
Salah has scored 16 goals in 28 games across all competitions this season, chipping in with a further eight assists. (African Football)
