Famous Nigerian blogger, Linda Ikeji led her Instagram fans on a quick pep talk this morning.
Read her story below:
The first time I stepped foot outside of Nigeria was in November 2011. I was 31. Before then, I’d never entered an international flight. I never had the opportunity to travel abroad and definitely couldn’t afford a holiday. I always wondered what the outside world looked like.
Fast forward to 7 years later. Now I can travel to any part of the world I want…maybe even take 10 people with me and give them a luxury trip. And throw in shopping money inside sef…lol.
I have learnt through my own journey that delay is not denial. Sometimes things will come when it will come. You can’t hurry it along no matter how much you work, plan or pray. What you need is patience and trust God’s perfect timing for what is meant for you. God will come through for you as long as you keep the faith, refuse to give up and keep working. Sometimes the delay is God preparing you for greatness beyond what you even envisioned. So don’t be down that you are not where you want to be now. Your breakthrough is coming! It may be taking a long time, but God didn’t bring you this far to leave you and you didn’t bring yourself this far to give up. So increase your determination, increase your drive, do everything with all your might and be patient.
Your time is coming! Oh, it will come…and soon! The question is; are you ready?
It appears Linda Ikeji is focusing on making more impact this year as she not only pens down inspirational talks to her fans, she is also willing to help them
Barely two weeks ago, the multi entrepreneur stated that she is willing to help about 80 female entrepreneurs. She wrote
Hello ladies, from this Sunday Jan 6th until the last Sunday of February, I’d like to meet some of you budding entrepreneurs each week to talk, advice, and see what help you need in your businesses. I want more real selfmade female entrepreneurs to emerge in this decade and I want to be part of the process in every way I can. I will be collaborating with a bank on all our Selfmade Woman programmes this year and I need to know one-on-one what your needs are. But note; meeting with me is not to come and collect money o, it’s to talk, eat, drink, advice, rub minds, get to know what your needs are and put you on our database for when we want to start financing small scale businesses. .
.
Between 2015 and 2017, I spent N30million of my personal money on about 40 girls. Some did good, many didn’t so we want to restrategize. And yes, The Selfmade Woman Conference is happening this April, so be ready for that. ??
If you’re interested in meeting me, please send an email to [email protected] and indicate which Sunday you’re available. Of course, this is strictly for females. ?. We will write back to you and tell you where we are meeting and what time. Cheers and kisses ??
