Former English player, Chris Sutton, has stated that Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho wants to be sacked. The Portuguese has been under intense pressure due to United’s poor start to the season and is likely to be sacked.
United currently sit at the seventh position in the EPL table and are eight points adrift of the current top four.
“Mourinho is a better watch than Man United, the team on the pitch,” he told BBC Radio 5 Live
“Mourinho does more point scoring off the pitch than his team does on it.”
Mourinho reportedly called his midfielder Paul Pogba a ‘virus’ before their 2-2 draw at Southampton
Sutton, added, “What good can that possibly do on the morning of a game? If that report is correct,” he added.
“What good can that do the team, the other worrying thing is that it was leaked. It’s not a happy camp.
“They finished second last season, what’s going to happen in January?
“Can he be trusted with a pot of money, this is a United team that are falling at an alarming rate,” he continued.
“I think he wants the sack. I’m telling you he wants it, why would you behave in that way?
“He signed Pogba, he signed [Alexis] Sanchez, his signings have been a disaster and he wants more money?
“He’s spent £50million on Fred, half a million pounds a week on Sanchez, how can they trust him?
“How easy do they want the games? Crystal Palace at home? Who have been bang average this season, Southampton away and they scraped past Young Boys.”
