Rapper Drake has settled his lawsuit against Layla Lace who alleged that he raped and impregnated her.
The rapper’s attorney, Larry Stein made this known in a statement made available to TMZ.
“The filing made by Drake against Layla Lace has been resolved, with Layla avoiding going to trial by agreeing to a stipulated judgment which prohibits her from repeating past statements she made against Drake,”
“Drake and his team are satisfied with this outcome and while Drake appreciates the support he has received, he asks that his fans and the media allow both parties to move on with their lives.”
In September, Drake filed his lawsuit against Morris and admitted he had consensual sex with her while at a Manchester, England hotel in February 2017. However, her alleged false accusation forwarded at him after the encounter made him to file for civil extortion, fraud, emotional distress, abuse of process and defamation.
After the encounter in February, Morris took to Instagram with claims that she was pregnant with Drake’s child. Morris also went on a radio show to discuss the claim. “I know who I sleep with unprotected, period,” she told SiriusXM’s Shade 45. “So it’s 100 percent sure. He knows it.”
Information reacjing TMZ states that the rapper informed the court that he and Morris have resolved their legal issues. As part of their agreement, Morris agreed to abstain from republishing her Instagram post from April 2017 where she first made the pregnancy claim.
