N30,000 minimum wage will collapse our states and lead to bankruptcy – Govs

Nigerian governors under the umbrella of Nigeria Governors Forum have stated that they would not be able to pay N30,000 as minimum wage.

According to a report, they said that there is no way they can afford to pay such an amount as doing so would lead to the collapse of their states and that the states will also go bankrupt.

The governors arrived at this after their emergency meeting which was held in Abuja on Wednesday night.

They, therefore, resolved to raise a fresh committee to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari over the issue.
