Chelsea legend, Didier Drogba has shared a throwback picture from 1989 to show when he started his dream to become a footballer.
Since 1989, the 40-year old Ivorian striker has moved from playing professionally in France to England where he had a great career scoring 164 goals in 381 games, winning four Premier Leagues and the 2012 Champions League with Chelsea.
The soon to retire footballer spent the last 18 months of his football career with US side Phoenix Rising which he co-owns.
Sharing the throwback picture, Dier Drogba wrote:
”1989 or where it all started!! When I think of the last 20 years of my professional career, looking at this picture can’t make me more proud of what I’ve achieved as a player but most importantly how this journey as shaped me as a man.
If anyone tells you your dreams are too big, just say thank you and work harder and smarter to turn them into reality. #alwaysbelieve
