Jenna M. Folwell, the 19-year-old mother whose infant son was found dead in her apartment, on Wednesday, after she reported he had been abducted, admitted to police she drowned the baby after conducting Google searches about infantcide.
The U.S mom was booked into a Maricopa County jail on suspicion of first-degree murder. She was being held with bond set at $1 million.
Police found the body of 4-week-old Rainer Canku inside Folwell’s apartment at about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, a couple of hours after she reported her son was abducted at Brooks Crossing Park. .

After securing a search warrant for Folwell’s cellphone, police said they found a variety of searches in her web browser, ranging from how long it takes babies to drown to reasons parents kill their babies.

Chandler police say there were over 100 different searches on these types of topics. She said she settled on drowning her son so she wouldn’t have to hear him cry, according to the police report.
