Former Chelsea Captain, John Terry has rejected a move to Spartak Moscow due to family reasons.
Terry spent last season at championship side, Aston Villa guiding them to a playoff place before they lost to Fulham in the final.
Writing on Instagram, the former Chelsea captain said: “I would like to take the opportunity to thank Spartak and wish them and their supporters well for the rest of the season.”
“Spartak are an ambitious club and I have been very impressed with their professionalism,”
“But after assessing this move with my family, we’ve decided this is not the right move for ourselves at this time.”
Terry enjoyed a trophy-laden spell with Chelsea before leaving in 2017.
