A Nigerian guy has made headlines after he chose to be selfless sometime last week
Accoring to reports, someone had mistakenly transferred One Million Naira to his account and despite the fact that he only had N369 left in his account, he chose to return the N1m to it’s owner
Otuto Ekekwe on Facebook, has taken to his page on the social media platform to declare that he is in search of whom he thought was a woman, he had mistakenly transferred N1million to and she refunded him.
According to Ekekwe, the lady he identified as Abikoye Oluwatobiloba, had returned a sum of one million naira back to him after he mistakenly transferred it into her account.
He revealed that the incident had occurred on Saturday, September 8 – the man couldn’t go to the bank to make complains and so he called the bank about the mistake, and he was told to report the incident on Monday, September 11.
However, the lady had gone to the bank to get his account number to refund the man’s money back to him.
The young man who asked people to help him find the lady and notify her about his request to meet her, shared screenshots of the transactions and wrote:
“WHO SAID “WE DON’T HAVE GOOD PEOPLE IN NIGERIA??” SATURDAY EVENING 8TH SEPTEMBER, I NEEDED TO SEND MONEY TO #RAGP ACCT TO TOP UP MY EWALLET, I MISTAKENLY SENT THE #1MILLION TO A #STRANGER, #ABIKOYE #OLUWATOBILOBA .#E. According to Tobi Abikoye who has been found and gave his own side of the story, he had only N369 in his account before he got the alert of N1million, and as a result, many thoughts came ringing in his mind but he decided to be calm and he is glad of the outcome.
He certainly has earned himself a well reserved respect with his selfless action.
And i made it to the news
Thank God for His grace. on the said date, i just withdrew my last available balance leaving me with just N369. And alas i got alert of N1million, you can imagine the different thoughts that came to my mind , but i had to keep calm, and thank God for how it all turned out. Its good to be good.
