Super Eagles vice-captain Ahmed Musa is confident that the Super Eagles will qualify for the 2019 AFCON in Cameroon.
Nigeria have failed to qualify for the last two editions of the African Cup of Nations, Musa is optimistic about qualification irrespective of the team’s position.
Nigeria needs to beat Libya in next month doubleheader to boost their chances of qualifying for the competition.
“Our target is to win at least three of our four remaining matches and ensure we do not lose any more game after the loss to South Africa in Uyo.
We have to revenge that defeat against South Africa and beat Seychelles again, then get the upper hand in the two legs with Libya
“We were not at our best against Seychelles in Victoria, but we still managed to win 3-0. The pitch was bad and the host team played more defensively without a particular pattern.
We played to get the three points and we could have scored a lot of goals but three goals was not a bad result”.
Musa captained Nigeria in the 3-0 win against Seychelles in Victoria on Saturday in the absence of Mikel Obi.
