Former Juventus player, Dani Osvaldo has said that he doesn’t envy the kind of life Barcelona player Lionel Messi lives.
According to Osvaldo who gave up his footballing career to become a musician, Messi is a victim of his own success at Barcelona and has ‘no life’.
Messi is rarely seen in public, instead he’s always in the privacy of his home. This is because the Argentine would be mobbed he was to just to a walk in town.
Fellow Argentine, Osvaldo, who had also played for Southampton in the Premier League, has revealed how he couldn’t live like the Barcelona legend.
“Would I like to be like Messi? No,” Osvaldo told Spanish newspaper Marca.
“I’d like to play like him, but he has no life. It’s as if he lives in a golden prison.
“He couldn’t go somewhere and quietly drink something. Maybe he doesn’t care about it, but I do.
“I imagine him buying the biggest TV in the world, but then he’s never in his living room to use it.”
“What do you want a Ferrari for if you go from your home to training, which is 15 minutes away?” Osvaldo added.
“I never cared about the money, but I also spent it on stupid things. And now too, but cheaper.”
