It is no longer news that popular BBC news presenter, Rachael Bland, has died peacefully after losing battle to an incurable cancer disease.

- Rachael Bland was born on the 21st January 1978 and gave up the ghost on the 5th of September, 2018. She was a Welsh journalist and a presenter with BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC North West Tonight.
- She married BBC Radio 5 Live producer Steve Bland on the 3rd of September 2013, meaning she died 5 years and 2 days after her wedding.
- Their union was blessed with a son, Freddie, who is now two years of age.
- Bland was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer in November 2016.
- In the early stages of her condition, she continued to present Radio 5 Live, saying she would rather be known as “Rachael the news presenter” than “Rachael the cancer patient”
- Following the diagnosis, Bland started presenting the BBC podcast You, Me and the Big C to raise awareness of cancer, discussing the disease with celebrities and providing advice of how to manage it.
- In May, Rachael Bland announced that her cancer had spread and was now incurable.
- She had hoped that clinical treatment would still be available so she could live longer.
