Former governor of Jigawa state, Sule Lamido, has warned that the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019 could spell doom for the youths.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential aspirant made this known on Tuesday while addressing PDP supporters in Maiduguri, Borno State.
Lamido said: “The Nigerian youths are the most at risk, because they have no future and good morals of becoming leaders of tomorrow.
“If I am elected President next year, the Nigerian economy will be revamped to surpass Buhari’s Economic Recovery Growth Plan (ERGP).
“Unemployment, poverty, insecurity of lives and property, Boko Haram insurgency, cattle rustling, as well as herdsmen and farmers clashes will be addressed head on to restore peace and unity in the country.”
Lamido further warned that a wrong choice next year would lead to increased unemployment, poverty, insecurity and underdevelopment.
