Enyimba will slug it out with CARA Brazzaville of Congo for maximum points and for a place in the knock out stages of the CAF Confederations Cup.
Enyimba defeated Djoliba of Mali away in their last match to throw the group wide open, they are tied on nine points with CARA Brazzaville which makes the match a must win for the Peoples Elephant.
Enyimba coach Usman Abd’allah is confident his team will come out victorious in their first match at the newly-renovated Aba International Stadium.
“We’ve been under pressure for three years, playing away from home. It is almost a new team so I don’t think they will be under any pressure.
“The point is to qualify and the only way to be sure of qualification is to win, so we’re going all out for a win because we don’t want to be interested in the other match center.” He said
“This is our third week here, we’re getting comfortable on the pitch. Our performance is getting better as compared to the other pitches we have used before. We are ready for the match. We have an edge because we will have our supporters behind us.”
“We conceded three goals in seven crazy minutes of football and apart from that, we played well both technically and tactically. We have been following them up and have rectified our problems.
“We only have Ibenegbu (Ikechukwu) out, though he has been training since this week the game will come too early for him.” He concluded.
Enyimba are second in Group C behind CARA Brazzaville on goal difference, a victory will see them leapfrog the Congolese club and also book a place in the second round of the competition.
The match will kick off by 5 pm Nigerian Time
