Ronaldo pays Spanish authorities £12.1m to end tax dispute

Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly paid £12.1million to end his tax dispute in Spain after having accepted a two-year suspended prison sentence this week.

According to Spanish radio station Cadena Cope, they reported this week that he has deposited the £12.1m and will also pay a further £4.7m in fines and costs. He has also accepted a two-year prison sentence which he will never have to serve because first offences for administrative crimes involving terms of two-years or less are not custodial in Spain.

It was also claimed that Spain’s high tax rate was a contributing factor why Cristiano Ronaldo leftReal Madrid for Juventusin a £100m deal.

Report also has it that the Portuguese star plans to put his £4.8m Madrid mansion in the exclusive ‘La Finca’ neighborhood on the market and is seriously contemplating closing all his business interests in the Spanish capital.

FFK reacts as Dasuki is denied release despite getting a sixth bail order

Femi Fani-Kayode (FFK) has reacted to a statement by Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, in which he stated that the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, won't be released because he caused the death of a 100,000 people. The statement is coming few days after an Abuja court granted Dasuki bail making it the six time.

Reacting to Malami's statement, FFK said,

"Dasuki won’t be released despite numerous bails because he caused 100,000 deaths''- Attorney General and Minister of Justice Malami.

This is a LIE from the pit of hell! You must stop believing ur own propaganda. Your govt is NOT above the law and whether you like it or not you MUST obey court orders!

Former Arsenal coach, Arsene Wenger has stated that he regrets the 22 years he spent at the London side.

In an interview on Sky News, Arsene Wenger was quoted to have said, “I regret having sacrificed everything I did because I realize I’ve hurt a lot of people around me. Deep down though, the obsessed man is selfish in his pursuit of what he loves. He ignores a lot of other things. But it’s a bone to chase at the same time.”
