Nigerian footballer, Chrisantus Macauley has joined Finland side HJK Helsinki from Real Murcia on a year-long contract with an option to remain with the club beyond 2019 season.
The Finish club confirmed the signing of the 27 year old on its official website.
The statement reads:
“Chrisantus is still a very potential striker, able to play as densely as on the land. Macky has done good things in quite a lot of times and we believe that HJK is an environment in which he is able to develop further.
“In this way, we get more competition and alternatives to our attacking equipment, and of course our look is already coming next season. In addition, Macky is a positive and cheerful person, which is always a good thing, backed by football leader Juho Rantala.”
Macauley also revealed in a statement that he is happy to have completed the switch to Finland.
He said:
“Nice to come to the Club. The sun shines and is a good sign. I’m going to do a lot of goals.”
Chrisantus Macauley has played for several clubs such as Hamburger SV, Karlsruher SC, FSV Frankfurt, Sivasspor, AEK Athens, Lamia, Reus Deportiu and Real Murcia.
