35 members of the House of Representatives have defected from the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Their action is coming just few hours after 15 senators dumped the ruling APC to pitched their tent with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Senators that left the APC to PDP: Sen. Tejuosho Sen. Shaaba Sen. Barnabas Gemade Sen. Melaye. Sen. Shittu Sen. Rafiu Sen. Shitu Ubali Sen. Isa Misau Sen. Hunkuyi Sen. Monsurat Sen. Danbaba Sen. Nafada Sen. Nazif Sen. Kwankwaso.
With this move, the All Progressives Congress has become the minority in the upper chamber.

The BBC has published a video showing Nigeria’s top football coach, Salisu Yusuf, caught on camera taking cash from men posing as football agents to two Nigerian players.
The footage was captured by controversial Ghanaian journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas in September 2017 – and is being broadcast for the first time by BBC Africa Eye.
Yusuf was the first assistant to Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr during the Russian World Cup. And he is due to lead the national team to the Tokyo Olympics in 2020.
According to the video, Yusuf accepted $1,000 from the men posing as football agents to field some unidentified two players.
In his response, Yusuf denied any wrongdoing. He said he did not demand any money and that what he was given, $750 and not $1000, was a gift.

Fayemi unveils members of transition committee
Ekiti State Governor-elect, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has released a list of eminent citizens of the state that will serve in the Governorship Transition Committee, charged with the responsibility of liaising with the outgoing administration for a smooth transition ahead of the October 16th take off date of the new government in the state.
The 32-member committee is headed by a former member of the National Assembly, Senator Olubunmi Adetunmbi as chairman, while a former Chairman of Ijero Local Government Council, Hon Abiodun Omoleye will serve as deputy Chair. A former Permanent Secretary in the state’s civil service, Mr Ayodeji Ajayi, is the secretary of the committee.
The Committee is to be known as the Ekiti State 2018 JKF/APC Governorship Transition Committee.
