Mother and her daughter killed during a military raid in Bayelsa

A young mother and her two months old baby have been shot dead on the same day, owing to a military raid in Bayelsa.

The tragic incident occurred during a crossfire as stray bullets hit the child and pierced out to the nursing mother leading to their instant death.

It was gathered that the Military joint taskforce stormed the village to arrest some militants in Ben ama and Tengele ama communities, Oluasiri clan in Nembe local government area of Bayelsa state.

Man caught with 27 bags of human faeces in Lagos (photos)

A 29-year-old handcart pusher, identified as Idris Yusuf, has been nabbed by the long arms of the law after Operatives of Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps, LAGESC apprehended him yesterday for rather shocking reasons.

Idris Yusuf was allegedly arrested for unsanitary and illegal disposal of human faeces under the bridge at Daleko area of Mushin, Lagos State.

According to LAGESC, Yusuf was caught with human faeces tied in 27 bags.

In lieu of the development, the house where the waste originated from has since been sealed off while investigations would be carried out

Tinubu reacts to Buhari’s declaration of June 12 as democracy day

A National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has reacted to the declaration of June 12 as the new democracy day. The declaration was made by the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
