The rainfall removed some part of the roofing of the Alvan Ikoku hostel of the University.
Senator Shehu Sani has invited American rapper, Kanye West to visit slave ports in Africa for an education on the slave trade. This is coming after the rapper made comment which many found offensive to the black race.
During an interview with TMZ live this week in Los Angeles, Kanye said the slave trade was a choice for blacks to have been in it for 400 years.
"When you hear about slavery for 400 years ... For 400 years? That sounds like a choice", he said.
Nigerian lawmaker, Shehu Sani took a dig at West on Friday saying the musician's statements on transatlantic slave trade was a slight on its victims.
"If Kanye West thinks slavery was a choice, we will offer him a free ticket and tour guide to visit slave routes and camps in Badagry, Lagos, Ouida, Benin Republic, Ghana and Goree Island in Senegal to 'experience the choices...

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, has revealed that about 7.6 million children in 22 states across the country were being fed daily under the National Home Grown School Feeding Programme (NHGSFP).
Osinbajo made this known in Akure on Friday during an interactive session with beneficiaries of the NHGSFP and inspection of the N-Power Programme at Alagbaka Estate Primary School, Akure.
He explained that the purpose of NHGSFP was to ensure that children in public primary schools across the country would have at least one very good meal daily.
The vice president, who had lunch with the pupils, added that the meal would improve the children’s health, boost farming in the country and create job opportunities for some people.
“I have tasted the food myself and I think it is the quite nice,” he said.
