Former Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola and the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu have once again dispelled the rumors surrounding their relationship.
This they did when they met during Olusegun Osoba’s daughter’s wedding engagement ceremony which held in Lagos recently.
Fashola who is currently the Minister for Powers, Works and Housing was seen chatting with Tinubu as they hugged each other.
The duo had been consistently rumored to be at loggerheads with each other, reports which they have continued to refute.
Fashola became the governor of Lagos state 2007 under the then Action Congress of Nigeria and after succeeding Tinubu who held the post for two terms.
During the event which marked the 2900 days of Fashola in office, Oba Rilwane of Lagos gave an hint to a feud between the two former governors when he accused sycophants within All Progressives Congress of initiating the fight between Tinubu and Fashola.
However, Mr. Tinubu took to social media shortly after to deny such feud. “Between Fashola and Myself , there has never been any fight only disagreements over procedures in the past. It borders on the party position.”
“All this is in the past. What we have achieved politically in Lagos and Nigeria is a result of team work, political compatibility & vision,” he mentioned.
